"This Hunter Douglas blind was a replacement for one that had worn out after 18 years of good use. The color fit in well with the room, and it darkened as expected. I was pleasantly surprised to find this high quality blind so reasonably -priced, much less than in our local custom shops.
Delivery was timely and smooth. I would definitely order my next blind from blinds.com."

"Beautiful blinds, the cordless and top down/bottom up work well.
They are useless as blackout blinds. Inside mount means there are enormous gaps on all four sides that let in light. The bottom of the blinds refuses to reach the window sill no matter how much I adjust it. The mounting rail just fits inside my window area, but then there are gaps of 3/8 of an inch on either side of the actual fabric. At the time I bought them there was no warning on the product page that there would be gaps on all 4 sides of the blinds.
I had bought these to seal light out of my bedroom during the day because I work nights. At the time Hunter Douglas was the only manufacturer that made top down/bottom up with cordless and blackout in the size I needed. My 500 dollar set of blinds now has ugly foam weatherstripping stuffed on all sides so that I can actually sleep. I should have bought junky cheap blinds if that was the look I wanted.
The rest of my home has faux wood blinds from blinds.com and I absolutely love everything about those."

"I hesitantly purchased these blinds because I have bought and returned shades from a store multiple times and each time the material still let light through! But I heard many good things about these shades so I made the purchase and couldn't be more pleased with the material. Truly no light can come through these shades, and this is even with the parchment (off-white) color.
Also a pleasant surprise, I have the LiteRise top-down/bottom-up shades where the ordering information claims there will be unavoidable light bleed at the top of you get this option. I have no such thing, because these shades have two cells above the top of the blinds to serve as a filler, which blocks all light.
There is only one downside, albeit one that has been mentioned by other reviewers: there is light bleed from the sides of the window. It's not significant, but when the sun shines directly on the window my room is still slightly illuminated. I haven't decided if I need a 100% dark room, but if I wanted one I would need to buy drapes for these windows to cover the edges. Again I anticipated this happening, but I wish that they made a casing for the sides of the windows that could alleviate that problem.
Installation was shockingly easy - it took longer to unmount the brackets from my old blinds than it did to install the new ones. The top-down/bottom-up feature with LiteRise is fantastic, now we can lie in bed and pull the top town when we want natural light but full privacy. Once I figure out how to block light from the sides, I will be incredibly happy with this product."

"This is our 2nd time purchasing the Applause blackout 3/4". They are absolutely perfect for any room you want to virtually eliminate sunlight. Perfect for late sleepers, night shift workers, and save a lot on energy bills! I definitely recommend the Easy Rise upgrade. If we move and need blinds again (heaven help me) - I'll be back! *Note: We paid an installer separate this time, but from what I remember last time, my husband did not have any difficulty."

"We are extremely pleased with the shades we bought. They were easy to install and look very nice -- clean and neat. The only slight problem is that the bar on the top is slightly wider than the shades themselves, so that there's a 1/4 inch gap on either side of the shades, and light comes through that -- but I don't know how it would be possible to fix that. Overall, we think these blinds are great and wouldn't hesitate to order from blinds.com again."

"While searching for blinds, I found HD to be the top of line and best quality and style. I did a lot of homework and presently my whole house has Hunter douglas and all my friends and neighbours awe at the blinds everytime, with their literise technology. These particular blinds are installed in my media room, making it completely dark during the day for watching movies. I sometimes work nights and the blinds are helpful to make room completely dark for me to sleep at night. I am very pleased with the blinds as well as blinds.com service."

Top-down/bottom-up!
"We've always liked the honeycomb shades, and this blackout really does the job well. Top-down/bottom-up is the only way to go for privacy, when you have neighboring buildings as close as ours. My only complaint is the hanging hardware it came with. I did an inside mount, and for a longer shade like mine you have to attach 3 of these plastic hangers. The design of the hangers themselves is the problem; they don't just snap onto the blind, you have to hold it up there and then tighten down this little screw, and getting all three aligned at the same time while holding the shade and trying to use a screwdriver... well, it's not easy. 2 people are recommended if you are going to attempt to do the installation yourself. Other Hunter-Douglas blinds I've ordered since this one have come with a better hanging system, much more like the Bali hangers, where they just snap in and you're done. Other than that, I'm very pleased with the shade itself."

"Easy to install. Blocks all light except around edges. We used to cover a window that was going to have a 100" movie screen cover it, so we had to block direct light coming in. It worked! Only thing was the instructions were not very clear concerning the brackets, so we had to just use common sense."

"These do the job. They are extremely light weight--the blind almost feels like paper to the touch. The only negative would be that in a wide window like mine, when they are pulled up, they don't draw entirely evenly at the opposite end. Probably better suited for smaller widths. Overall, I liked them though."
