"The motorized light block shades were very easy to install, a tape measure and screwdriver is all you need. I Installed 2 shades in about 15mins. and after having them now for 6 months and using them everyday i have to say it was one of the best purchases i made this year. The shades block the light out completely and operated flawlessly, would highly recommend them."

"These HD Duette blinds are simplicity & elegance merged into an easy-to-install package.
It was a breeze unpacking the blinds, installing the mounting hardware, and hanging the blinds. From the time the mounting brackets had been secured to the window frame, hanging the blind took less than 10 seconds. Also, a nice installation feature is that the fabric-wrapped top rail was protected with a sheet of plastic that was simple to pull off once the blind was in place. In addition, to prevent light from filtering in above the top rail, HD has installed a row of felt that presses against your window frame to seal out any light.
The mechanical operation of the blinds is as superb as the installation and quality of the blinds. The top-down, bottom-up feature is fantastic, and I simply cannot emphasize how helpful the Ultraglide system is.
All-in-all, I would not hesitate to purchase HD blinds in the future.
NOTE: I began receiving my blinds within five business days of placing the order--that's a quick turnaround in my opinion."

Black-out blinds
"We love our new blinds from blinds.com. They are great at blacking out the room for our kids - and they pull up and down very easily. We also like the stream-lined look. The material is a bit "chalky" looking, but other than that, they are wonderful!"

"These would have gotten 5 stars except they seem to make a lot of noise when being lowered and raised. It would be nice if there were a quieter mechanism. The noise is enough to scare our newborn baby from a quiet sleep. Otherwise they have been good. We chose these blinds because they theoretically would offer better window insulation but I haven't noticed any improvement in our heating bill in Winter. They look nice and have been pretty durable so far (after over a year since installation)."

"I ordered 8 blinds, and measured as instructed, the EXACT opening for an inside mount. Your site directions say that HUNTER DOUGLAS will deduct at least 3/8" from this number for the final product, but this is NOT the case for the HEADRAIL, which also nees to fit for an inside mount. "

"I think that the Blinds.com "home" brand of blinds should be available just an inch wider in the top-down bottom-up style. I had to order Hunter Douglas blinds to get the width I needed for one of my windows (just 3/4" wider than the size limit) and I would have preferred to order the generic brand. I could see that the H-D blinds were of very good quality, but I prefer the installation brackets for the "regular" blinds. The service and quality have been impressive and I would enthusiastically recommend this company. I'm almost disappointed that the last two shades I purchased have finished my gradual vertical-blind replacement project, and my house is now completely "shaded" with blinds.com products! "
