"These are great Blackout Duette shades. My only issue is that they are hard to lower & raise. Very stiff. Hard for my elderly folks to work. The quality of the shades is excellent - called HD but they said w/ time the functioning would improve."

"I got the ones with remote and they are installed on high windows in the media room. They are easy to operate and block the light completely. One advice - if possible do a outside mount, inside mount leaves a streak of light on the sides. Blinds.com was very good to deal with - excellent customer service."

"We bought these for our kids rooms - both of them have an East facing window, and in the summer the sun rises early, plus our little one needs to nap in the afternoon. With the shades down, you can't really tell what it's like outside. I followed the measuring instructions and the blinds fit perfectly. I think that it took me a total of 1 hour to put up 4 sets. The cordless feature is great too - there's no worry about anyone getting caught or pulling down the blinds by swinging on the cord."

"These blinds perform exactly as advertised - they filter 100% of the external light and provide a reasonably attractive window treatment. The fit for my odd sized windows was very good and installation was simple and straightforward. Based on recent experience, I prefer Hunter Douglas' installation hardware over that of other major brands. Blinds.com service was top notch! Their price was competitive and they were knowledgeable in helping me select the correct H-D product. My order arrived quickly with everything needed to do the install. "These blackout shades are nice for darkening a room. The action is smooth. The only thing I worry about is the weight of the blinds vs the strength of the plastic clamps that hold them up. You have to be careful (and I usually lift the blind to help it upward) not to tug too hard or the clamps will break. Other than that, they were cut well and neatly and fit was good."

"These are the best shades for room darkening. I bought them for our bedroom because it faces the east and south, so if you want to sleep late you can because the room stays dark. Also, because of the blackout feature our room stays cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. The color matched perfectly, the Easy Rise lift system is the best. We love them."

"one of the internal pull ribbons broke on my blinds. blinds.com quickly sent replacement ribbons, but i have replaced them three times and still the blinds are completely crooked when opened. i've all but given up on having them aligned when opened, as the internal ribbons are cheap and continually break AND it is quite difficult to remove the entire blind unit from the window to take them apart. believe me, i've done it enough times to know..."
