Economy Sheerweave Solar Shade

The economy series of Phifer sheerweave sun shades (3000 series) have an average openness of 14%. So they block glare and provide a more open view. Perfect for lofts, urban settings, high-rise condominiums, sun rooms, etc. These solar roller shades have a mesh material made from a combination of PVC-coated fiberglass and polyester yarns. These sun control shades are elegant and exquisite. Available in 8 colors, including several radiant Linen weaves.All Sheerweaves roller shades come standard with a continuous loop clutch mechanism for easy control. This system raises and lowers the sun shades smoothly and evenly for trouble-free performance. No more long, dangling cords or frustrating cord locks or cleats. The spring roller option is also available at no charge. You can also have the fabric reversed so the fabric will roll from the front of the roller instead of the back. This option is used most often to bypass obstructions which might have otherwise been obstructed by the fabric.On inside mount roller shades the fabric will be 7/8" to 1" narrower than the roller measurement. This allows space for the shade to operate properly and is true on all brands of roller shades. You may compensate for this by adding to your width measurement and opting for an outside mount. On all inside mounted roller shades you will have a 7/16" to 1/2" light gap on each side of the shade unless there is a window frame, trim, or drapery covering this space.Color shown in picture is Espresso Q18.

"The blind I bought for my bedroom didn't do the job I thought it would. I got the sample of the 3% openness and thought you wouldn't beable to see in from the outside. It is fine during the day, but at night when the light is on, you can see inside. I wanted to just use a blind with a topper and now I have to get curtains which defeats the whole purpose of me getting the blind."

"These Solar shades are wonderful ... they add a bit of color to the windows and keep out the heat of the sun while letting the light in. I can really feel the air conditioning much more now with them up - and I didn't have to sacrifice my view.

This is my second purchase from blinds.com and I would definitely purchase again.

I did purchase 2 additional shades, but they came in 'not as I had ordered them' and the Customer Service dept. was more than helpful in helping me return them - they even sent me a UPS form that was filled out already. I can expect a full refund shortly.

And again ... I do plan and will purchase from blinds.com again.

"The Economy Sheerweave Solar shades(Chocolate) were the better than we thought they would be and we received many compliments on them.We didn't have a chance to order a sample and took a chance and ordered them anyways.When we opened the box and installed them, we were very surprised how great these really were.Great product at a fantastic price for window treatments.You can enjoy the view without the glare! We purchased a second set for another room in our house."

"I shopped around locally and could not beilieve the high cost of solar roller blinds so I looked on-line and found blinds.ca. The cost was half the price of local quotes (Vernon, BC). The quality is excellent and delivery was exactly as expected. I fitted them in about an hour. The fabric and descriptions are excellent given the constraints of a computer screen. You will not be disappointed.

I will definitely shop again with blinds.ca for all our future blind requirements. Don't waste your money just measure carefully and follow their instructions."

"I have a west kitchen window that lets in a lot of heat in the summer - it was almost like a "hot spot" in my kitchen. I decided to give the solar shades a try, and am I ever impressed!! Not only does the white shade brighten up the room, now I have a "cool spot" in the kitchen. It is almost unbelievable. Plus, I can see everything outside that I want to with the shade down (I got the 14% visibility). These were a great buy, and I plan to purchase more shortly for other areas of my home. Also, they were easy to put up - I did it myself with no problem. I would definitely recommend these to a friend!"

"The blinds were delivered on time and packed very well. Installation is a bit tricky because the dry wall around windows is always "out of square". The 1 1/8" inch allowance for an inside mount seemed excessive to us..... would have preferred a little less gap on each side of the shade. Took us about 2 hours to hang 4 shades."

"This blind is just what we were looking for. It blocks the sun, but not the view. It has opened up our office so much. Now we can enjoy the bright sunny day while we are woking on our computers. We still need to finish the look with a valance of some sort, but it sure beats the old verticle blinds that we had to keep closed up prior to our new purchase."

"I purchased this blind for my Mother-In-Law who has Macular Degeneration. Before the blind was installed, she was closing her living room draperies all day to avoid the glare from the sun and snow. After the blind was installed She can see through it without a glare or hurting her eyes. She is very happy that she can watch the birds and squirrels again! I am very happy that this has helped her so much. Thank You for offering a product that has given her some quality of sight again."

"These shades are fantastic. We got them because we have a guest house that has a lot of windows and gets strong sun shining on in. When I sat at my computer, I was blinded. They do a great job of keeping out the glare, keeping in warmth in winter and cool in summer and look great. We picked the mushroom which is a nice balance from the stark white. VERY easy to install. Excellent customer service too!"
