"The blinds arrived on time, and I put them up by myself, with the "help" of my 2 year old. All four blinds were installed in less than an hour, and they look great. They do a fabulous job of keeping out the cold. I love the no cord detail I ordered,it's much safer with a toddler in the house. I gave the exact measurement of the inside of my windows, and they fit perfectly. My husband couldn't believe how great they looked when he came home. I would order them again in a minute!!"

"I love my new blinds. We got the cordless topdown/bottomup for the bedrooms for privacy, 3 conventional blinds with cords for living room and 1 very large blind with the pulley for the family room and I love them all! The only issue I have is that the cordless topdown/bottomup blinds are a bit crooked, but hopefully we can adjust the strings to even them out (we haven't actually tried yet). It would also be nice if the strings were closer to the outer edge, but not a big deal. They all look really nice and I would definitely recommend! The price was great too."

"I am extremely satisfied with the shade and the installing instructions that came with the product. This is my second shade. I ordered the exact one that I ordered 18 years ago. I had to replace the string twice and when it broke again I just ordered a new one. The color selections are great too. "I have been very pleased with the blind and especially delighted that I chose the blind with no strings. I am hopeful that the double cell will provide the added insulation promised.
The only negative is the screws that come with it were very cheap. The heads of three of them broke off while we were trying to install."

"We had regular vinyl blinds (the cheapo ones in the stores that only come in white or beige!!) and replaced them all with these. What a difference! They are classy and change the whole room and are very easy to install. The top down bottom up option is a must- it is great to be able to let in natural light and see the foliage turn or run around in an Abraham Lincoln costume without neighbors seeing everything you're doing. And I don't have to duck and run under the blinds anymore if someone annoying is at the door who I'm later going to tell that I was asleep or in the shower when they call to complain!
We got Arctic, Blush, Daffodil, Hyacinth, Ocean, Stucco and Tranquil. Most were true to the colors shown here... we thought that Ocean was a cobalt blue and it was more navy, Tranquil ended up being more teal than minty green, and Blush did not have as much peach as we thought it would, but maybe our eyes are getting old :) They still all look great in the rooms - When we finish doing over the basement we will be buying more!"

"The strings used to bring up and down the blinds are somewhat "harsh" in operation. I've used other brands such as Bali and they feel to be smoother in operation. These aren't bad but they seem to be rough in operation and I don't know if the string rubs internally or what but it concerns me a little about longivity. As far as looks, they seem to be great construction there. I would suggest getting these with the "stringless" feature."

"...light filtering really does mean exactly that. Do NOT buy this blind for a bedroom! I made that mistake, and had to buy a new blackout blind instead. Totally my fault, but let it be a warning to others if you're thinking it won't let that much light through. It does!
Having said that though, this is a great blind, that looks good, and is very simple to install. Some people have said that they think its quality isn't very good, but I would buy this one over a brand name, and would be equally as happy, and have money left over.
I would highly recommend the bottom down/top up feature, as especially with blackout it offers privacy and flexibility."

"These blinds were adapted to fit skylights. The installation brackets were very easy to install and the blinds fit like a glove. They work very well with the track system I made and installed inside the skylight trim boards. My wife noticed the cooling down of the room almost immediately when the shades were pulled down to block the sun. Aside from making the skylight track system, I had to adapt another type of handle pull onto the blind (I installed an open ring on the bottom to replace the handle in order to use the extension rod I have to open the skylights plus the blinds). We are very happy with the blinds."

"I am not a handyman and was planning to hire someone to install my blinds. I ended up installing all four blinds in less than an hour."
"I got the Blinds.com 3/8" double cell light filtering shades in Tranquil (the 2 blinds on the bottom). These blinds are absolutely the best value you can get for custom window shades. However, when compared to the Bali DiamondCells (angled blinds on top), there is definitely a quality difference. The material feels a lot cheaper, the color is not as brilliant & it doesn't seem like it insulates as well (Blinds.com blinds feel warm to the touch, but Bali DiamondCells don't). Also, the color of the shade changes dramatically depending on how bright it is outside, not so much so with the DiamondCells. The samples for these 2 colors were almost identical yet look extremely different in the picture. Overall, I am very happy with my shades. Price really influences the bottom line. The Bali shades cost 40% more. The only reason I got Bali shades on top is because Bali & Hunter Douglas are currently the only brands that make custom angled window shades.
I got the top down bottom up option & absolutely love it. In hindsight, I would have gotten the cordless or continuous cord loop option as well. The long cords, which can be neatly wrapped around cleats that come with the product, are not very attractive and unwrapping them from the cleats to operate the blind is really annoying. Continuous cord loop means shorter, more attractive, sturdier cords & cordless means no cords altogether."
