Our 3/4" black out honeycomb shades are our least expensive black out shade, so they are very popular. They are available in several colors, from pale neutrals to rich, deep tones. These window shades do not allow any light through the material, and they're backed by white for a uniform window coverings appearance on the front of your home. An occasional vacuuming is all that's needed to keep these window shades looking fresh. Their soft, flexible nature allows the shades to stack compactly when raised, so they virtually disappear. Customize them with one of the popular lifting options, which provide added safety and convenience, as well as ease of use. Try the popular Bottom-Up/Top-down feature, or the Continuous Cord Loop feature. For added safety, also choose the cordless feature. Our cellular shades are backed by a limited lifetime warranty, are easy to install, and complete with all necessary hardware. Please allow 12 days for production if you select the cordless option. To see matching vertical cellular shadings, visit our Vertical Blind Alternatives category or click here.Color shown in picture is Dogwood F7-900.

"We purchased these blinds for our bedroom to block out the light. We also decided on the top down/bottom up option. The blinds fit perfectly, were easy to install, and they definitely block the light. We are extremely pleased with our purchase. The customer service at Blinds.com was helpful, knowledgeable, and provided excellent service. When we are ready to get blinds for our other windows we will purchase them from Blinds.com. Thanks!"

"I absolutly love these blinds. They mount easily and are beautiful. My husband works nights and needs a dark room in the daytime. These blackout blinds do just that. If that was not enough they also keep the room cooler. I also love the top/bottom feature since these are also in our bathroom which neighbors can see into. We pull the top down so there is light in the room but still privacy. We loved these so much we put them in all our bedrooms. And if that was not enough, they fit perfectly, were here when I expected them and much more reasonable priced than anything elso out there. You Go Blinds.com"

"The simplest and biggest tip that I have regarding your satisfaction when ordering these shades is to add at least 1 inch to the Length. Even adding an inch and a half can't hurt. It doesn't affect the function of the shades in any negative way, but it does help. If you order the shades exactly the correct Length, you will have difficulty closing them all the way, and light will tend to peak through the bottom (or top). They say they will stretch out over time, but why not just avoid the problem?
Additionally, they tell you to measure your window at the top, the middle and the bottom, and then use the shortest width when you order the shades. Then they make them about an additional 1/8 inch narrower than that. This is to be sure that the shades will function properly and not rub or catch on the edge of the window.
Typically windows will be the same for all three measurements, OR the top and bottom will be the same with the middle being slightly wider. If this is the case AND your windows are square then you may choose to order them about 1/8 inch wider than the NARROWEST measurement. Otherwise, you WILL have more light seepage in the sides of the shades. This kind of defeats the purpose of of blackout shades.
I am very happy with our shades! We ordered the top-down / bottom-up feature and cordless.
The only minor disappointment was that the directions reference a plastic snap on handle to make them easier to operate and they forgot to include them in our order."

"we bought these for the east-facing nursery and the blackout feature does a great job all day for baby's naps. The color, however, was dissapointing. The white azalea has a blue tint and there is no other alternative for a white shade. I would only buy this product again if I did not want white."

"I got this blinds on early summer. They look good but there are three issues that I do not like: ONE: Lifting system: top-bottom & bottom-top. From top to bottom they work fine, but from bottom to top I can't never make them go all the way up, they stop in the middel way and do not go up to the top. TWO: They took out too much from the sides, and as a result I have a wide gap between the blind and the windown border. Be gentle, add 1/2 inch more if you want a slicker result. THREE: They add some kind of white fabric at the top of the blind (actually, under the rail), I guess this is to create a "seal" when the blind is all the way to the top... I do not like this finishing, it does not look too profesional."

"I ordered these blinds because my boyfirend has trouble sleeping if there is light in the room. Everytime our neighbor walks by their outside door or someone comes down our driveway their outdoor light comes on and shines directly into our room and lights it up like Christmas. They really do the trick in blocking out the light. It's near pitch black at night and we love it. Wish the sides covered just a smidge more on each side but def not a reason to not buy these blinds."

"I've been bothered by my neighbor's outdoor lights shining in my bedroom window for far too long. Finally did something about it and ordered this room darkening shade, and IT WORKS! The only problem I have with it is the cord is too short. But it looks and works great."

"We purchased the 3/8 honeycomb Hunter Douglas 1.5 yrs ago. They were an up and down blind. The strings on them broke twice. We had them sent back to blinds.com and they fixed them very nicely, and got them back to us. But, after 9 months, the darn things broke again. first the smaller one, then the larger one. This time, we were advised to take them to a store in our area that fixed them. Since we had such rotten luck, we spent our Tax refund on getting new blinds. This time with the overhand one sided pull system.\ I really like the look of the new blinds. these are from Blinds.com, and we decided that we would take a chance on these 3/4 " honeycomb ones. The color is nice, the head is really nice, you don't need to put up a separate Valance if you don't want. but these are also not up and down. I decided that simpler the longer they would last. We shall see. My husband put them up today. I will say it is harder and slower to lift the blinds via the hand over hand (continuous) method. But if that means it is better for the length of the life of the blinds, I will get used to it. It took my husband about 1+ hours to put up two blinds. One was 54 x 54............other 60 x54. They luckily fit into the same holes that were already there, so he didn't need to drill new holes. (we have had 3 different honeycomb blinds.....with two separate series of holes.) He said it was really easy to install. Need more time to see if blinds are as good as they seem."

Dark blue bottom rail with white ribbons, grommets, and advertisement sticker
"We purchased these shades in Shady Blue. They're wide so we had to get the continuous loop arrangement, which was clearly identified as coming with a white headrail. The shades indeed arrived with white headrails and a dark blue (almost navy) insert along the front. The bottom rail was the same color of dark blue. Not entirely as expected but OK and growing on us. The issue however is the white ribbons sticking out of the dark blue bottom rail through white grommets. It was clear to me that a similar dark blue insert to the ones in the headrails was missing. Upon contacting customer support I was advised that this is to be expected. I was advised that after ensuring the shades are level that I should trim the excess ribbon and consider painting the tail and grommets. I suppose we're also expected to paint over the blinds.com sticker on the bottom of one of the bottom rails that is stuck on with some serious glue. I do not feel that such an obvious eye sore when the blinds are opened should be considered normal. Clearly a color matched insert should be provided to put into the bottom rail to cover the ribbons, grommets, and advertisement. If blinds.com considers these things normal, they should be clearly disclosed on the product page."

"I would suggest that you make the blinds about 1" taller so that the bottom of the blind rests on the window sill. As it is now there is a small gap allowing some light in causing some glare on my new TV screen. This is minor, as the sides have a small gap as well and there probably is not too much that can be done about that. Perhaps some type of "L" shaped guard that would attach to the side of the window frame to block the light coming from this side gap. Overall, nice product."

"In the past I have purchased several double cell blinds. This time I purchased the single cell blind. I have to admit I like the looks of the double cell blinds much better. They look more elegant and more attractive. If I could, I would exchange the single cell blinds for the double cell blinds."

"Last year we purchased some cordless blackout blinds from JCPenny. We moved a month ago and decided to buy from blinds.com instead. They were cheaper, which is apparent in the "feel" of the blind. It feels lighter from blinds.com, making it seem, at first, like we'd not like them. However, they are actually much better at keeping the rooms dark than the ones were last year. They are also very attractive blinds. We're very satisfied with the blinds, and we'd order them again if we had to."

"This blind is for my sons' room and I wanted the best insulation and room darkening that I could afford. The only part I do not like is that it does not stay all the way down when I close it at night. It springs up a bit (1/2 inch) because it has been folded all day. It lays down within an hour, but I do wish that I had added an inch to the length when ordering."
