"I absoutely LOVE..LOVE..LOVE these shades. I did like a lot of others did and ordered just 2 shades and am going back for more. I think my Hubby was a little concerned about the installation but did not have a single problem and he had to drill into concrete block. I also got the metal chain and am so glad I did. Anyone with questions, just go ahead and order. These are great!!"

"The blinds themselves arrived promptly but without the hanging brackets or cassette covers. I spoke to the customer service dept and they immediately mailed me the missing pieces. Installation was easy except for the piece of roller shade that slips into the cassette. I had to use double sided tape to keep it in place once inserted. Other than that, the shades are awesome. Once hung you cannot tell I added tape. I get compliments from all my neighbors. Definitely a worthwhile purchase."

"I used these shades in my Salon for the front windows. They look and work great, the afternoon sun was a killer but the heat and glare are now cut down tremendously. I got the black color. One thing, make sure they are installed even. Any tilt will make the shade not roll properly."

"I was skeptical when I first purchased these blinds and only ordered 2, although I really need 4. The 2 look great and I will be ordering more in the future. My husband hated them when they first arrived, but now that I have them in our room, even he has to admit that they look great."

"We just installed the Phifer Solar Shades in our living room. We have two large windows with a southern exposure. I chose these blinds so that I could still see the trees in our yard and cut the heat and sunlight on the furniture. We couldn't be more pleased. We also bought them for the french doors in the dining room. We chose the platimum color and it blends beautifully with the pale green we painted the rooms.
The cost was half of the quoted price from our local store. Thank you Blinds.com"

"The price and overall quality of the Phifer Solarweave shade was very good. Slight problem - though the roller (top and bottom) and the window are level, the sides hang about 1/2 " off plumb at bottom of shade in down position."

"We love our new solar shades! We ordered four samples to check for color and texture before placing our order. We had some questions about the differences between light filtering and solar shades, so we called the phone number listed on the website and talked with a very knowledgeable and friendly person that gave us all the information we needed. Our solar shades were delivered within a week, and we installed them the day they arrived with no problem. "Excellent product. Was delivered remarkably fast. Easy to install. These solar weave blinds have greatly improved our living conditions. The glare and irritation of the afternoon sun is gone. The interior temperature is decreased and that helps with the a/c bill.

"If you are looking for great solar shades and are lucky enough to have found this website then please let all your worries set aside and make your purchase without any doubt.

I have bought 7 shades total, 2 for 5x4 windows and the rest for full height, 8 ft tall glass walls.

The shades are suprisingly light, look gorgeous es well as contemporary and are easy to install. They keep our place cool throughout the day, even when it is 90+ outside, while not blocking the view to the exterior.

At night, when it's dark outside and you have the lights on in your place people will be able to see the shilouettes of your interior, so if you are a super private person maybe you can go with a more solid shade.

In summary, I both recommend the Phifer brand and this websitre if you are looking to make a purchase. You will not be disappointed."

"The blinds are lovely, arrived in a timely manner, were well packed and are exactly what I wanted. I have 2 small suggestions that would have helped me.

(1) Measuring - I measured exactly. The directions said round to the nearest 1/8 and I did as the measurement was exactly on the 1/2". These were the roller shades and the blinds were about 1/16" too wide. I used my Dremel and took a little off the mounting hook and they popped in easily, but if I had rounded down from the exact measurements it would have been perfect. It may not be this way on the spring type.

(2) A pattern or guide that could be traced to show you where to place the mountings would be so helpful. The installation video was good but it gave no measurements or suggestions as to how high or low or distance from the window to place the mountings. I just had to guess, so a little pattern would make it so much easier - no worrying about being level or too high, low, or close to the window"

"I am extremely satisfied with my new premium weave solar shades - I have them in an old mill building with very large windows. They arrived within a week, were easy to install, and look fabulous. I have purchased many different products from Blinds.Com and have never been disappointed. There shades worked out so well, that I purchased them for ALL the windows on the second floor. They create a great environment, offer a great look, keep light in, but the sun out, and are incredibly practical. On hot days, I am sure they keep the temperature lower. Five stars it is!"

"Measuring was the most difficult part of this. I asked someone to doublecheck my work. He also suggested I err on the shorter side as I could use shims if needed. Didn't have to use them but this was good advice. Blinds are very high quality and we are happy that they allow light in but block the most intense light. Happy w the purchase."

"I ordered two large beige Solar Shades for westward facing windows in my sun room because of the glare and the heat. These shades were super easy to install and really reduced the heat and glare while still allowing me to see out to some extent.

I'm happy with them and my only nitpick is that one of the shades doesn't roll up perfectly straight on the roller. So you have to pull on one side of the shade while you pull the chain. Otherwise it will roll up slightly toward the right side, covering the end cap and eventually creating a rough edge on the shade. The other roller shade works perfectly. I installed them both the same and they are perfectly level - so possibly the shade wasn't attached correctly to the roller. In any event it's a minor inconvenience. I specified the metal chain and it seems as though it will hold up well.

I had an estimate from a regular drapery and shade company and saved over 50% by doing it myself. I also saved over 20% by purchasing from Blinds.com as opposed to a big box home improvement store. I would buy from Blinds.com again as the transaction went very smooth and the order was shipped quickly and arrived in good condition."

"I am very pleased with the overall product and the friendly customer support. The only thing I would recommend is if the rolling mechanism on the top can be symetrical on the chain control side. Another words, when you look up on the rolled up shade, the chain controlled side is with a bracket, the other is without, leaving it looked incomplete and exposed. But everything else looked great!"
